Virgin Gorda, BVI --- We know that the greater rewards
are those earned after frustrating degrees of difficulty and exertion,
like after clambering crab-like over and under and in between piles of
rocks, some half buried in the sand, some towering three and four stories
high above the azure pure water.
We like mazes because of the challenge and suspense involved in finding the exit
to safety. Thus, The Baths, a celebrated pile of volcanic monoliths lying at
the southern tip of this small island, gave us all of that, both in an out of
